The Grand Arts Council is a Colorado 501 (c) (3) non-profit charitable organization, and a proud member of the Grand Lake Creative District.  All donations to the Arts Council are tax deductible.  EIN 84-1141079. The Arts Council is run by an all-volunteer Board of Directors.  Meetings are held  monthly.  Each board member takes on management and organization of different favorite events.  The general membership participates in each event’s success through donation of their time and efforts. 

In the more than thirty years the Grand Arts Council has existed, the number of events and kinds of activities has changed. Today, the council is in the process of changing again. The board is actively seeking new ideas and new members to implement those ideas. With the recent purchase of the elementary school by the Town of Grand Lake, there is now a facility for more classes and events. The Grand Arts Council is actively working with the town to create more on-going use of this facility and the recently improved Grand Lake Community House.

This Grand Lake Center is ideally suited as a place for painters, sculptors, poets, dancers, and crafters to discover artistic expression and share a passion for the splendor that surrounds our community. Activities include concerts, art exhibits, classes, craft fairs, theatrical performances and other events that integrate cultural arts into the community throughout the year.  Our plans include offering a wide variety of classes.
